Five for Friday 8/8 and Two Giveaways
My summer vacation is quickly coming to a close. I am spending my last full day at my family reunion in Orlando. Tomorrow we begin the treck home, and next week I start work with a conference and PowerSchool Roll-Over.
I am linking up today with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.
First I have to share some of my favorite photos from our trip. I was lucky enough to travel to Disney with my nephews as well as my siblings, cousin and her daughter, my parents, and my uncle as well as my own family. This was Shmurtz's first trip.
Here are some highlights.
Smurtz loves Michael Jackson; she was him for Halloween last year. This is her doing her Michael pose after seeing Captain EO. It was pretty awesome. I had no idea George Lucas was part of the production team.
She also got to meet Rapunzel, and they looked like twins. Rapunzel was so wonderful; she had a full conversation with Shmurtz while taking photos and signing books.
We also came upon Jack and Sally totally by accident. I think this may be our holiday card photo this year...or at least one of them. We love this movie. These two characters were also super nice when my nephew was scared of them (some of his favorite characters), and their cast member was able to coordinate them coming up behind his mom holding him, so we could get a photo.
We did the Princess Breakfast at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. It was so awesome. The girls got to meets a plethora of princesses.
I don't teach elementary, but I have to share one of my favorite products with you. I didn't receive any kind of compensation for this post; I only wanted to share a great product.
These are the Sassafras brand scissors that my girls have. I have a pair of purple ones from when I was little and they are still sharp. My girls have three pairs. They stay sharp and cut through everything they could need...paper...cardboard...plastic, but are safety scissors.

I am working with a lovely group of bloggers on a book study on The Together Teacher, although, I admit I am behind on posting because of our trip. I have been reading, and my posts are in the works.
